LINGO PROS AND CONS

Lingo is one of the largest VoIP providers in the world. What follows is a balanced report on the pros and cons of choosing Lingo's VoIP solution.

With VoIP providers fighting for market share increasingly heavy competition, Lingo has shown a cheap alternative to the more well known VoIP providers. Its growing popularity is due not only to the many call features it offers, but also the most important feature, price. But that is not to say, that everything about Lingo is attractive or even that it is the great service for every user.

How it Works

If you've got a broadband Internet connection,
Lingo is a service you can use to make Internet phone calls at significant savings over analog calling.
Lingo sends your phone call across the Internet.

Limitations

We experienced few drops during the test calls. For those who are not really familiar with their computer and internet set up one might have a little problem in setting up the VoIP system. But friendly customer service is always available to assist you.

Pros: Includes Western Europe in "local" calling area, allows you to keep your telephone handsets, is cheaper than the rest.

Cons: Some might find it hard to install but friendly customer service will be more that happy to assist you and troubleshoot with you.
